Crucible Energy CEO Spotlights AI Breakthroughs at Wild AI in Minneapolis
Samuel Goff, Founder and CEO of Crucible Energy, captivated attendees at the Wild AI event with a lightning talk on innovative AI applications accelerating the global transition to sustainable energy. Held on June 19th, 2025, the event brought together AI enthusiasts, founders, and innovators to explore open-source AI advancements and foster collaborations in the burgeoning field.
In his presentation, Mr. Goff outlined Crucible Energy‘s pioneering use of multi-agent Reinforcement Learning AI systems to revolutionize power grid infrastructure. Highlighting the world‘s struggling power grid – responsible for half a trillion dollars yearly in outages and over 100,000 human lives lost – he detailed how Crucible is deploying self-healing superconducting mesh networks with integrated storage. “These are like teleporters that move data and energy anywhere in the world, with zero loss. We can deploy 10 times faster, run 50 times more reliably, and handle 100 times more power than traditional systems,” he said. “This will save time, money, and human lives.”

Mr. Goff highlighted Crucible Energy‘s self-improving, Multi-Agent AI framework which cures hallucinations and surpasses advanced memory systems like Google Research‘s TITANS (a successor to transformers) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). He discussed computational design for physical modeling of electrical systems, drawing from fusion reactor R&D successfully used in projects like AmpaCity in Essen, Germany. Attendees learned about digital twinning with fiberoptics and sensors for real-time frequency stabilization and predictive maintenance via Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning (MARL). Key features include self-healing Fault Location Isolation & Service Restoration (FLISR), blackstart capabilities, N+5 redundancy, real-time load balancing, and a blockchain-based ledger to guarantee sustainable provenance for carbon credits and Renewable Energy Credits (RECs).
“Crucible Energy is changing the game by building self-healing superconducting mesh networks that move energy instantly with zero loss,” said Goff. “Our AI-driven approach, including reinforcement learning and self-play, iterates designs thousands of times virtually, turning prototypes into sanity checks and accelerating sustainability.”
The Wild AI event, praised by Attentio co-founder Jacob Brindley for fostering co-founders, jobs, mentors, and research collaborations, emphasized open-source AI. Brindley highlighted the community's rapid growth in just five events, with Goff's talk earning a special shoutout for showcasing Crucible's groundbreaking work.
Crucible Energy is at the forefront of sustainable energy innovation, leveraging AI, real-time data, and blockchain to scale power grids and make renewables cheaper.
